What is cause of dark energy and matter..

What are the causes of dark matter and dark energy? “Dark matter” and dark energy are both caused by invisible neutrinos and neutrino-like predicted symmetric particles, that have negative gravity. The negative gravity of dark energy neutrinos primarily causes the outward accelerated expansion of our universe. Secondarily they also cause the inward acceleration of gravitationally bound galaxies, attributed to the nonexistent “dark matter.” For more on the unified cause of dark energy and dark matter, please see my answer below to the following question: What are the most prevalent current hypotheses concerning dark matter and dark energy? Unfortunately there are no  prevalent  good hypothesis or theories concerning dark matter or dark energy. Physicists are at a roadblock, looking for dark matter WIMPS that don’t exist; and stuck on the rejected by Einstein “cosmological constant” that would blow up our universe in a “big rip.” But there is an excellent well researc...

What will happen when our sun dies?

Image
What will happen when our sun dies? What does death mean, for the sun? It means our sun will run out of fuel in its interior. It’ll cease the internal  thermonuclear reactions  that enable stars to shine. It’ll swell into a  red giant , whose outer layers will engulf Mercury and Venus and likely reach the Earth. Life on Earth will end. If the sun were more massive – estimates vary, but at least several times more massive – it would explode as a supernova. So … no supernova. But what? What happens next? An international team of astronomers recently used a new stellar data-model that predicts the life cycle of stars to answer this question. Their research  is published in the  peer-reviewed  journal  Nature Astronomy . It suggests that the sun is almost exactly the lowest mass star that – at the end of its life – produces a visible, though faint,  planetary nebula . Artist’s concept of our sun as a red giant. Alien life maybe sending signals but dark matter is making us blind to signs

Image
Alien life maybe sending signals but dark matter is making us blind to signs:  What if intelligent alien life is sending us signals but our finite understanding of dark matter and energy may be making us blind to the signals which perhaps exist in dimensions that humans can't comprehend? When we think of other intelligent beings, we tend to see them from our perceptive and conscience sieve; however we are limited by our sui generis (unique) vision of the world, and its hard for us to admit it. - Gabriel de la Torre, from the University of Cadiz in Spain Gabriel talked about contemplating on other possibilities. What we are trying to do with this differentiation is to contemplate other possibilities, for example, beings of dimensions that our mind cannot grasp; or intelligences based on dark matter or energy forms, which make up almost 95 per cent of the universe and which we are only beginning to glimpse. - Gabriel de la Torre CONDUCTING EXPERIMENTS The re...

Are virtual particles really constantly popping in and out of existence?

Are virtual particles really constantly popping in and out of existence?  Virtual particles are indeed real particles. Quantum theory predicts that every particle spends some time as a combination of other particles in all possible ways. These predictions are very well understood and tested. Quantum mechanics allows, and indeed requires, temporary violations of conservation of energy, so one particle can become a pair of heavier particles (the so-called virtual particles), which quickly rejoin into the original particle as if they had never been there. If that were all that occurred we would still be confident that it was a real effect because it is an intrinsic part of quantum mechanics, which is extremely well tested, and is a complete and tightly woven theory--if any part of it were wrong the whole structure would collapse. But while the virtual particles are briefly part of our world they can interact with other particles, and that leads to a number of tests of the q...

Why don't electron stick to proton?

Question Why don't electrons stick to protons if there’s electrons whizzing around the outside of an atom and the protons are the positive bit in the middle? Why don't the two just collapse in on each other? Answer Naked Scientist Dave Ansell got stuck into this question... Okay, in a very simple sense, they do stick to protons as much as they can. They're attracted to protons and so they form atoms. An atom is essentially electrons stuck to protons. What you really are asking though is why don't they get any closer than they do? It's all basically to do with the fact that electrons - in fact, everything - has wave properties. And the electron's wavelengths are about a similar sort of size as an atom, and that's the reason why atoms are that sort of size over the order of the wavelength in electron. And so you can't really compress a wave any smaller than one or few wavelengths. So the electron can't get any smaller than that without actually...

What are Quasars

Image
Quasar With the exception of the short-lived, powerful explosions responsible for  supernovae  and  gamma-ray bursts ,  quasars  (or  QSO s) are the brightest objects in the  Universe . They are thought to be powered by  supermassive black holes  (black holes with a  mass  of more than one billion  solar masses ) which lie at the center of massive  galaxies . However, the black holes themselves do not emit visible or radio  light  (i.e. they are “black”) – the light we see from quasars comes from a disk of gas and  stars  called an accretion disk, which surrounds the  black hole . Intense heat and light is emitted from this accretion disk, caused by friction produced from the material swirling around, and eventually into, the black hole. Quasars are typically more than 100 times brighter than the galaxies which host them! Quasars also emit  jets  from their central regions, w...

Quasar outflows may create molecules, as well as destroying them

Quasar outflows may create molecules, as well as destroying them!!! Some types of molecules could form in powerful quasar winds that would ordinarily blast molecules to bits, according to astrophysicists in the US. Their findings, based on computer simulations of the outflows, show that feedback in active galaxies is more complex than had been thought. Quasars are powered by spiralling discs of gas around a supermassive black hole. The gas in the disc is at billions of degrees and drives powerful winds of radiation that move out into the host galaxy at hundreds of kilometres per second, sweeping up molecular gas that could otherwise be used for star formation. Under normal circumstances, this molecular gas should be blasted into its atomic constituents by the outflow radiation. However, observations of quasars have revealed unexpected molecular gas, including carbon monoxide, hydroxyl and warm molecular hydrogen, in the outflows. Now  Alexander Richings  and  C...

A new state of matter discovered!!! (Rydberg Polarons)

S cientists have observed a new class of quantum matter at the very smallest scales in one of the coldest environments ever made. This discovery could pave the way for new technologies including innovations in superconductivity and other cutting-edge fields. The researchers examined the behavior of matter on the atomic and subatomic scales – known as “quantum matter” – where a large number of particles interact with each other. This latest discovery reveals a new state of quantum matter called a “Rydberg polaron,” a relatively giant particle containing many atoms that behaves in some ways like a single massive particle. The experiment, initiated by the theoretical work at the Institute for Theoretical Atomic Molecular and Optical Physics (ITAMP) at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics ( CfA ) and Harvard Physics, was performed in the laboratory of Thomas Killian at Rice University, where the electrons were given so much energy, on the verge of being pulled away from ...

Precision Qubits Achieve Major Milestone

Precision Qubits Achieve Major Quantum Computing Milestone The unique Australian approach of creating quantum bits from precisely positioned individual atoms in silicon is reaping major rewards, with UNSW Sydney-led scientists showing for the first time that they can make two of these atom qubits “talk” to each other. The team – led by UNSW Professor Michelle Simmons, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology, or CQC2T – is the only group in the world that has the ability to see the exact position of their qubits in the solid state. Simmons’ team creates the atom qubits by precisely positioning and encapsulating individual phosphorus atoms within a silicon chip. Information is stored on the quantum spin of a single phosphorus electron. The team’s latest advance – the first observation of controllable interactions between two of these qubits – is published in the journal  Nature Communications . It follows two other rece...
