What are Pheromones? Pheromones are most commonly thought of as scents that animals give off that will lure a potential mate to them, or scare a potential threat away. Humans also seem to produce these scents naturally. The detection of pheromones, however, is where the problem lies. Scientists have had difficulty finding an area of the brain that detects the pheromones secreted by others. This may be the explanation for why human pheromones are believed to not exist or cause a reaction for humans. A study from the Huddinge University Hospital in Sweden sheds some light on the truth of this conundrum. In the experiment, Ivanka Savic found that smelling synthetic versions of either testosterone or estrogen led to an increase in blood flow to the hypothalamus. The men showed an increase when smelling estrogen and women when smelling testosterone, but neither had a reaction when smelling the scent of the same gender. Ever wondered, that why when you move fast you reach your destination early? The reason is obvious as v=s/t and as v(velocity) increases time shortens for a  fixed distance. But when you move in space free from any planetary interaction than something strange is observed. ""YOU REACH YOUR DESTINATION EARLIER THAN EXPECTED"" That's the time when special relativity comes into effect. As an object moves with great speed in space it pushes the space back, folding it, just as if you were moving on a carpet folding it back as you move. This brings your destination closer to you thus reducing the s in the equation v=s/t and with greater "v", "s" decreases so as the distance is no more fixed this equation is no more applicable. "t" calculated is greater in magnitude than actual time taken. That was Distance contraction for you in short.
